There is a special quality of light at sunrise that casts a rosy glow on everything it touches.  This painting of deer grazing in the early morning catches that feeling of quiet beauty that can be observed in the first light of day.

This painting was exhibited at the annual Crane Estate Show in our hometown of Ipswich in 2020 and won the People's Choice Award.  Every time I look at this painting, it evokes the feeling of serenity I experienced coming upon this scene in the early morning of a crisp fall day.
